Successful applicants will bring deep experience with data center design, configuration, & maintenance, familiarity with hardware procurement, a readiness to work hands-on keyboard to solve challenging data center problems, a strong collaborative spirit, experience successfully mentoring junior team members, superior problem solving skills, a passion for security and data protection, and a clear focus on supporting customer needs.   Responsibilities Recommend and follow technical standards for data center configuration. Document technical configurations for both datacenters and for cloud architecture. Install and configure servers and necessary applications to support data center and Infrastructure strategy. Configure, monitor, and periodically test backup/recovery of systems. Proactively monitor data center status/health and address issues as appropriate. Perform system upgrades and patches as necessary to include firmware, operating system, and applications. Engage with vendors for license renewals, hardware/software, and support contracts. Support system administrator personnel as necessary to resolve end user and systems issues. Ensure security standards and practices are implemented and maintained within the infrastructure environment. Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks. Develops and maintains all security and network configurations. Troubleshoots all data center and network performance issues. Maintains and exercises a disaster recovery plan annually. This individual is responsible for architecting and administering the following environments: Linux and Windows server environments Dell SAN and Tiered NAS storage solutions VMware / vSphere environment Data networking (routing and switching including Cisco 9000 Series) Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions Backup and replication configuration and testing Palo Alto SDWAN and NGFW environments Other duties as assigned Requirements 8+ years professional experience performing duties of a datacenter engineer CompTIA Security + (Plus) Certification Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments including experience managing Active Directory In-depth working knowledge and experience with VMware / vCenter / vSphere General working knowledge and previous experience supporting Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC) services Expert understanding of LAN/WAN principles and protocols, including BGP routing In-depth experience designing, deploying, and managing firewalls A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Demonstrated attention to detail Good verbal and written communication skills   Candidates meeting the following criteria will be preferred: Active DoD TS/SCI clearance Candidates with OCP Red Hat experience will be highly preferred Experience managing Palo Alto and Panorama firewalls Direct experience configuring and supporting Dell Powerscale, Powerstore and/or Unity In-depth knowledge and experience with Cohesity or Veeam backup solutions Experience with VMWare compute, storage, and network configurations Experience with on-prem, hybrid and cloud environments supporting kubernetes environments *Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment. CHIEF ENGINEER RAMADA HOTEL (DORHESTER)
The Chief Engineer has experience working in a hotel setting. The Chief Engineer will supervise the maintenance team and responsible for the physical condition of the hotel to ensure highest standards of guest satisfaction within allotted budget. Providing information to General Manager to determine the need of utilizing outside contractors. · Overseeing all capital construction and major maintenance projects. Requirements · To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner, and the individual must be punctual and have a good attendance record and have reliable means of transportation to work. · Supervises, develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, air/heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc. · On an ongoing and regular basis, inspects and evaluates physical condition of entire hotel asset, including all guestrooms, public areas, pool area; completes and retains inspection reports on a regular and timely basis, using then-current Company inspection forms. · Works closely with other departments (i.e., Front Office and Housekeeping Departments on maintenance and repairs issues) to ensure high level of customer satisfaction. · Orders material and completes work assignments on time and by a specified date. Performs work within departmental expense plans. · Maintains hotel by performing painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Replaces/cleans air conditioner filters. Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment. May tend furnace, air conditioner and boiler to provide heat, cool air and hot water for guests. Interprets specifications, job orders and company policies to maintenance employees. · Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, recommends measures to improve production. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in resolving work problems. · Training and monitoring safe practices of staff. Requirements A minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferably in a hotel property. · Strong written and oral communication skills. Functional and productive skills using technology such as personal computers, smartphones, and Microsoft software. · Familiarity with hotel property management systems, purchase order and procurement systems, and the ability to learn new software and related applications including work order and productivity systems. · Supervises and motivates maintenance staff including hiring, firing, coaching, counseling, evaluating and training activities.
