Location: San Mateo County, with occasional trips to the regional office in San Francisco. Salary: $26.44 per hour, non exempt   Organization Overview  Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to California’s most vulnerable individuals, with an emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. We implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans’ services, and health care sectors.    In short, we do good work.    We have offices statewide with a staff of passionate people. While we are growing rapidly, we are also selective: We’re seeking inspired, talented people who want to be effecting profound change and who have fun doing it.    Department Summary  Brilliant Corners partners with Health Plan of San Mateo, San Mateo County, and other community partners to provide person-centered housing services to members of the health plan. Brilliant Corners helps members identify housing opportunities in the community that meet their needs and assist them with the application process. They also assist members with applying for waitlists for rent subsidies and affordable housing. They help members move into housing and provide ongoing support with their tenancy. Brilliant Corners administers rent subsidies to qualified members.    Position Summary  This role will serve as the primary connection between clients, case management staff, service providers, and landlords/property managers. The Housing Coordinator will ensure client well-being and unit habitability by conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly unit visits at the clients’ residence. This position is responsible for implementing a program that advocates for individuals to obtain community-based housing options with the appropriate service supports to succeed. The Housing Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of 35-45 individuals with frequent and regular travel to client residences, affiliate businesses, community meetings, training workshops, and other events in the San Mateo County.    Position Responsibilities  Conduct intakes and assessments with clients residing in various types of residency throughout San Mateo County.    Work collaboratively with external multi-disciplinary teams of care coordinators, nursing facility staff, home modification vendors, fiscal agencies, and other organizations to arrange community transition activities;   Assist clients with review and understanding of lease and program agreements;   Act as single point of contact for property managers and landlords to resolve tenant issues, and maintain regular communication  Respond to housing and tenant related emergencies during normal business and after hours to include submitting and following-up on tenant maintenance requests;   Assess need for reasonable accommodations/unit modifications and ADA compliance, and assist program participants through the process to obtaining the request   Educate landlords, property managers, families, and community members about the housing needs of identified program participants, and provide appropriate advocacy on behalf of our clients  Research affordable housing options through public housing, nonprofit housing, and other community opportunities within San Mateo County  Assist in mediation of tenant conflicts and/or other housing-related issues, and expected to handle irritated, belligerent, or upset tenants and/or landlords with calmness, diplomacy, and good social skills  Assist clients with affordable housing and low-income rental applications  Maintain Brilliant Corners housing registry database  Maintain thorough and accurate progress notes, files, and correspondences while maintaining confidentiality of program participants  Attend meetings as needed  Other duties related to the specifics of this program, as assigned     Professional Experience  Knowledge of supportive affordable housing in San Mateo County   Education and/or training in property management functions, and experience working with people with disabilities, institutionalized, and homeless individuals   Experience working in a crisis setting and ability to respond appropriately in an emergency  Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and reasonable accommodations    Possession of a valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record, and automobile insurance   Access to adequate transportation   Basic computer knowledge, MS Word and Excel required    Flexibility required regarding scheduling and prioritizing of tasks   Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational and record-keeping skills, and good independent judgment    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions   Ability to work independently     Core Competencies  Approachability: Builds trusting relationships by being accessible, understanding, and responsive to others needs to improve services  Conflict Management: Addresses conflicts by understanding needs, employing empathetic listening, identifying underlying issues and facilitating equitable solutions that respect all parties  Strategic Agility: Future-oriented, strategically coordinates resources and stakeholders to optimize support, proactively navigating challenges through planning and critical thinking    Organizational Values  Humanity: Putting people first: We are committed to meeting people where they’re at, honoring their dignity, diversity, and experience.   Community: Building a better future: Sustainable housing solutions are fostered through partnership, collaboration, and human connection.   Ingenuity: Innovating for transformation: Systems-change requires relentless determination, thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo.    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations  A valid, clean CA driver’s license and a personal insured vehicle are required.     Travel Requirements  This position requires a valid driver's license and may be tasked to drive for the course of business.    Physical Requirements  Candidates should have physical mobility for tasks such as standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces. They should be capable of performing stationary tasks like sitting for up to 6 to 8 hours a day.  Additionally, candidates should be able to lift, carry, push, pull light to moderate weights up to 15 pounds safely. Requires mental acuity for analytical reasoning and document interpretation.  Labor Union This position is part of the OPEIU, LOCAL 30, AFL-CIO, bargaining unit. As a member of the OPEIU, LOCAL 30, AFL-CIO, the incumbent will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the collective bargaining agreement   Salary range for this position is $26.44-$27.76 per hour. We partner with highly skilled independent professionals who share our mission and bring specialized expertise to support our government clients.  The Office of the CIO (OCIO) of a major government agency requires contractor support to assist technical staff in understanding the technical dependencies, potential challenges and costs associated with separating a large portion of its IT services into an independent entity.  IT services are defined as the IT systems (applications), data, and hardware that support the agency. This includes IT services housed at the agency’s facilities, data centers, and in the cloud, to include SaaS.  The assessment will include more than 25 applications.    Note: This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. Contractors are engaged for specific projects or deliverables and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.  Responsibilities  Leads the assessment of the current IT infrastructure footprint. This engagement defines logical and physical separation options along with their associated impacts, develops migration wave planning scenarios and resource requirements, and contributes to cost modeling for infrastructure separation. In addition, the SME advises on industry’s best practices and incorporates lessons learned from other federal agency efforts.   Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.    At least 7 years experience in business process analysis related to Data Centers and Infrastructure.    Expertise in assessing IT infrastructure footprints and defining logical/physical separation options.  Experience developing migration wave planning, resource requirements, and cost models for large-scale infrastructure transitions.  Familiarity with industry best practices and lessons learned from federal agency modernization or separation efforts.  Strong background in advising on technical and operational impacts of infrastructure migration.  Preferred Qualifications  Experience in business process analysis for federal government agencies. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our client's team. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment used in various industries. Your role will involve troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing inspections, and completing necessary repairs or part replacements. You will work directly at client sites, ensuring that the equipment is functioning optimally and minimizing downtime.
