Further information is available at www.newflyer.com POSITION SUMMARY The Field Technical Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical product support for designated fleets. Responsibilities encompass on-site technical investigations with suppliers regarding component issues, upkeep of technical issue logs, adherence to company policies, support in warranty scenarios, and the collection of product failure data. Directly reports to the Regional Product Support Manager.  WHAT YOU WILL DO: Carrying out on-site technical investigations with suppliers and/or customers to troubleshoot component failures or performance issues. Assisting Field Service Technicians with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Maintaining comprehensive logs of technical problems and tracking patterns of field failures. Applying information from Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Approved Deviations (EADs) to field operations; helping with root‑cause analysis of field issues. Reviewing and testing work instructions for accuracy and practicality; conducting trial implementations. Preparing and sharing technical summaries and reliability reports for leadership. Collecting, analyzing, and communicating product reliability metrics. Producing clear presentations (e.g. PowerPoint) about technical findings for internal stakeholders. Reporting customer complaints and cooperating in warranty claim processes. Ensuring all required documents and standard forms are correctly completed and submitted. Must be able perform any repairs and updates as required. *Travel will be required to Boston, Massachusetts WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: A 2‑year technical college diploma (or equivalent qualification) in a related engineering/technical discipline. At least 5 years of hands‑on experience troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems — especially in the automotive industry. Experience with J1939 communications, troubleshooting protocols and products using CAN buses. Proficiency with computer‑based service tools, CAN loggers, and relevant analysis software. Experience with Ladder Logic and Multiplex Systems Strong skills in technical writing and reporting. Must be able to make clear, well‑structured technical summaries and presentations. Analyst - Cyber Threat Intelligence
This role may be based in Houston or Washington DC. This role primarily involves managing, producing and reviewing analysis of current and future cyber threats to all business sectors and to public sector organizations. The analyst will support and lead on delivery of bespoke threat assessments and client inquiries. Requirements Educated to degree level or several years work experience in an intelligence, cyber security or social science field (Military, Terrorism, Politics, International Relations, Intelligence Studies). Highly motivated and ambitious individual with ability to self-task and develop own research. Practical knowledge and understanding of cyber security concepts and mitigation methods. Practical demonstrable experience in the field of intelligence production, analysis, and review. Ability to present technical information and analysis to a non-technical audience. Demonstrable experience in the field of cyber threat intelligence, cyber security and / or geopolitics through academic or professional engagement preferred. Intelligence analysis (CREST, NIAT, GIAT, DIAM, City and Guilds), CTI (CRTIA, CPTIA or CCTIM) or cyber security (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CLASS) qualifications are highly desirable but not essential. Experience using MS SharePoint tooling, including PowerBI and PowerAutomate preferred. Knowledge of additional non-English language is preferred.
