Looking to add a responsible, experienced team member to our private facility in Santa Rosa. Location: Southeast, Santa Rosa. Position: Horse Caretaker/Groom Schedule: 8:30am-5pm five days a week, including weekends. About the Role: This is not a riding position. We are a private facility caring for high-level show horses. We are seeking someone experienced, dependable, and highly detail-oriented to join our team. Duties include but are not limited to: - Meticulous upkeep of stalls, barns, and horse facilities. -Must be well acquainted with handling large, lively horses safely and confidently. -Grooming to a professional, show-quality standard. -Administering medications (oral, injectable, topical) per veterinary guidelines. -Managing daily feeding schedules and special dietary/medical needs. -Monitoring horse health and immediately reporting any concerns. -Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. -Experience handling all aspects of horse care (for example, giving oral meds via syringe or feed through, equine first aid, ability to apply ointments, wraps, etc. per veterinary guidelines). Requirements: -Multiple years of experience handling horses is required (show horse experience preferred). -High attention to detail and ability to follow detailed care instructions. -Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. -Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day. -Must be available to work weekends and holidays if needed. The purpose of the study is to understand mechanisms of DSWPD. This study will improve our understanding of circadian rhythms in humans and may help us to create treatments and strategies for DSWPD. The study is 6.5 weeks long with 6 in-person visits Participants live in the sleep laboratory on two separate occasions between 48-66 hours (4.75 days total) Main Procedures Involved: Health screening Monitor on separate occasions your sleep, mood, eating times for 1 or 2 weeks and blood sugar levels while living at home Live in the sleep laboratory on two separate occasions for 48-66 hours (~4.75 days in total): Blood and saliva sampling Reaction time, mood, and ability to think testing You may be eligible for this study if you are: Age 16-30 Have with a diagnosis of delayed-sleep wake phase disorder, OR have late bedtimes after 1AM, an inability to fall asleep and difficulty awakening when required for school/work Are healthy with typical bedtimes and no sleep concerns Compensation is up to $1,725 Go to https://redcap.link/albplh4t for study details and to apply.
