General Purpose: Presents an optimistic and unforgettably positive impression to our Members and Guests, exuding the genuine warmth of the Club by serving welcoming and efficient hospitality. The Server Assistant is typically paired up with 2 or 3 servers and help with every part of member satisfaction in the dining experience, from clearing and marking tables, to pouring water, greeting tables, and helping the server in many other ways. This position is compensated at $16.50/hr and is eligible to be included in the Coral Casino tip pool policy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES · Exhibits sincere hospitality. Puts member satisfaction above all else. Has a problem-solving mindset when dealing with difficult situations. · Remains attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times. · Acts as a leader on the team—wants to make the operation better and does so by inspiring those around them to do the same. · Greet and interact with Members, guests, vendors, and colleagues in a courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner. · Enthusiastically interact with guests and respond promptly to ensure that the client’s requirements and expectations are met. · Greets guests promptly, using member recognition and name usage whenever possible. Creates a personalized experience for members based on personal preferences. · Maintains a neat and orderly service station. · Assists servers in many ways; clearing tables, running food, running drinks, greeting tables, marking tables, resetting tables, assisting with coffee and tea service, and anything else required. · Sets each table in the restaurant perfectly, checking for the completeness of the setting, and making sure tables and chairs are aligned perfectly. · Communicates the needs of members to the kitchen and management. Informs management of any member feedback. · Stocks side stations and maintains appropriate pars of silverware, glassware, napkins, share plates, and marking trays throughout service. · Maintains the overall cleanliness of the dining room. Checks chairs, tables, underneath tables, side stations, etc. · Complies with food and beverage regulations. · Commit to continual improvement in all areas of the operation. · Adheres to guidelines and policies outlined in the employee handbook. · Follow all Club and department policies, procedures, and standards. · Support a safe work environment and assist with other tasks as assigned. · Performs any other duties assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS · High level of professionalism and attention to detail. · Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills with solid follow through. · Problem solving, reasoning, and “thinking out of the box”; ability to apply common sense understanding to better serve our internal and external guests’ needs. · Ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results. · Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by the rules of the Employee Handbook. · Possesses basic math skills. · Honest, dependable, and aligned with the Club’s service standards. · Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. · Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Frequently stands/walks for prolonged periods of time, for at least eight hours. · Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reach, push, pull, carry, and lift at least 40 pounds; ability to move furniture. · Ability to withstand continuous repetitive motions. · May be exposed to loud noise.
