Physical Therapist Assistant

This position supervises patient care to ensure quality nursing care is given throughout the facility. Supervises all personnel who deliver direct patient services. Supports the hospital and program philosophy of care to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient. Oversees all nursing units to ensure all patient needs are met. Responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for all patients. Supervises and coordinates work of licensed and unlicensed nursing personnel on all units. Assists with orientation, training and development, performance management, and employee relations issues. Serves as administrative authority for the smooth function of the facility on assigned shift. Notifies CEO, CNO, or ADON of urgent concerns during the shift. Works with the CNO to determine the optimal allocation of staff, per shift on each unit. Assures that staffing is in place and reassigns staff according to unit needs. Monitors all staffing, records absenteeism, replaces staff for absences and vacancies for upcoming shift(s), monitors meal and break times, works on the units when needed. Responsible for communication with physicians, family members, or other outside entities. Assists RNs in assessing patients who are experiencing acute changes. Provides clinical expertise in the management of medical and psychiatric emergencies. Continuously rounds to monitor the units and patient care. Responds to all codes and assists as needed. Audits charts routinely. Provides clinical expertise in documentation. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Willing to work varied hours, including early mornings and Saturdays. The ISSE will be responsible for defining and implementing security requirements, advising on cybersecurity and information assurance (IA) programs, and supporting accreditation and authorization (A&A) processes. This position will lead vulnerability scanning efforts, ensure compliance with security policies, and maintain system security documentation to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
