Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Tax Practice Manager Overview: Our client, a rapidly growing Wealth Management Firm in Flagstaff, AZ, is expanding their services to include a dedicated Tax Preparation division. We are seeking an experienced Tax Practice Manager to build and lead this new practice area. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader focused on delivering exceptional client service, developing tax strategies, and establishing efficient operational workflows. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth client consultations, manage the onboarding process, and provide strategic tax planning advice. Oversee the preparation and filing of complex individual (1040), trust (1041), partnership (1065), and S-Corp (1120S) tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Standardize tax workflows and leverage technology to improve processes, efficiency, and the overall client experience. Develop and provide monthly training for the firm's advisory staff on tax strategies and recent tax law updates. Offer and manage hourly bookkeeping and reconciliation services to support clients' financial records. Requirements: Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Master’s degree in Taxation is a strong plus. Active CPA license is required. Experiences 5+ years of professional experience in tax preparation. Proven experience handling complex returns for high-net-worth families and business clients (partnerships, S-Corps, trusts). Demonstrated experience in improving operational processes and managing client relationships. Other Must be proficient in modern tax preparation software and technology. Requires exceptional communication, analytical, and project management skills. Must be a team player with a passion for training and developing staff.
