About the Role As Director of Sponsorships Sales, you are a strategic hunter and brand-aligned dealmaker. You own the full revenue funnel from prospecting new brands through proposing and closing 360° sponsorships. You’ll leverage BLAST’s premium IP and live events, supported by robust viewership and performance data, to secure elite partnerships with leading brands, sample categories - CPG, auto, tech, finance, and gaming brands. This leadership role also includes mentoring and coaching junior sellers. Location preference is New York or London with the ability to travel to our global clients and events. Requirements Experience: 5+ years in sponsorship or ad sales, preferably in gaming, esports, sports, or entertainment Proven Track Record: Closed six and seven-figure integrated sponsorship deals Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of esports publishers (Epic, Valve, Ubisoft) and media/IP strategies Sales Skills: Strong hunter mindset- cold outreach, proposal development, closing deals Analytical Ability: Comfortable leveraging data to build compelling business cases Communication: Exceptional skills in presentations and executive engagement Networking: Existing relationships with brands, agencies, and media planners Travel: Frequent travel for U.S. events (Austin, LA, Cannes, etc.) and internal meetings Education: Bachelor's degree; advanced degree beneficial Business Development & Execution Prospect, pitch, and close sponsorships for key BLAST ecosystems, leagues and events(e.g., Austin, Raleigh, FNCS, Dota2, Premier). Own and grow a pipeline of sponsors-securing presenting, premier-tier, and supporting deals. Build tailored partnership packages leveraging broadcast, digital, live activation, content, social, and influencer integration. Manage negotiation, contracting, and close; collaborate with legal and finance for deal execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work alongside Commercial Leadership, Creative, Account Delivery, Insights/Analytics, and Event Production. Develop & refine templated sponsor decks, media kits, tiered rate cards, and ROI tools. Coordinate internal teams to ensure flawless delivery and post-event evaluation. Analytics & Reporting Use live viewership dashboards, event reports, and third-party data to build sponsor narratives and ROI cases. Track and report sponsorship revenue performance, pipeline health, client feedback, and renewal opportunities. Team Leadership & Culture Coach and develop junior sales reps; help foster a hunter-focused, high-performance sales function. Contribute to hiring and onboarding of new U.S. sales staff.
