We are working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to address the backlog of these exams, and there are currently a considerable number of exams available in your area. These Medical Disability Exams are crucial in the VA process for determining the benefits Veterans can receive because of service-connected health issues. Here are some key highlights of this important work: · Objectivity: Focus solely on objective evaluations. You will not treat or diagnose patients. · Flexibility: Create schedules based on your availability without impacting your existing practice. · Direct Compensation: Get paid directly by Dane Street with no rigorous claims process for the work completed. We are looking for regular in-home respite care, recreation, and supervision for our very cool 24-year-old high-support autistic son. He does best with three- or four-hour shifts. Hours are flexible within the timeframe of Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Fri before 3 PM. Pay is $32/hour. Responsibilities including supporting our son with: -Local hiking and neighborhood walks -Watching videos on the home television and iPad -Going to movies -Spending time outdoors in the backyard in his swing or hammock -Art projects -Outings to local restaurants, parks, science centers, and museums -Riding local buses, trains, and shuttles -Assistance with daily duties, e.g. directing personal care -Light meal and and snack preparation -Accompanying client to organized community activities, e.g. participation in sports -In warmer months, swimming with client in backyard pool appreciated but not required -Other agreed upon social activities and duties Our son does not need toileting assistance or help getting dressed. Requirements: -Chill personality, kindness, and patience crucial -High school diploma, GED, or equivalent -Exceptional interpersonal skills, a caring approach, and physical fitness -Fully vaccinated against COVID and flu -Provide proof of identity and legal eligibility to work in the United States -No felony offenses for fraud against a public social services program or as a caregiver -Regular access to a car, with driver’s license, insurance and a clean driving record; mileage will be reimbursed -Experience with autism and disability is ideal but not mandatory; we can train -Ability to ensure clients' safety and provide comfort -Be able to enter work time and miles online, complete required forms, etc. -Exercise good judgment in handling emergencies or any other specific needs of the client -Be able to follow directions, guidelines, and rules while working independently -Be accessible via phone, email, or text to communicate about schedule and duties -CPR / First aid training preferred

This telework opportunity provides the ability to customize your schedule and caseload within the week while maintaining client-mandated turnaround times. Our reviewers are compensated on a per-case basis as a 1099 independent contractor. Preferred candidates will hold a NV License. JOB SUMMARY Utilizes clinical expertise, and reviews insurance appeals, prospective and retrospective claims. The Physician Reviewer will provide an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client specific policies, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, and standards of care. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews all medical records and addresses each question posed by the client utilizing client-specific criteria or other nationally recognized evidence-based criteria Ensures that the rationale for the determination is clear, concise, and contains adequate supporting documentation to substantiate the decision Identifies, critiques, and utilizes current criteria and resources such as national, state, and professional association guidelines and peer-reviewed literature that support sound and objective decision-making and rationales in reviews; refrains from using case studies, cohorts, and the like to make decisions due to their limited sample sizes Provides copies of any criteria utilized in a review with the report in a timely manner Returns cases on or before the due date and time Makes telephone calls as mandated by the state and/or client specifics Maintains proper credentialing and state licenses and any special certifications or requirements necessary to perform the job Attends all required orientation and training Performs other duties as assigned including identifying and responding to quality assurance issues, complaints, regulatory issues, depositions, court appearances, or audits PLEASE BE AWARE: In the interest of the security of both parties, please be aware that Dane Street will never conduct an interview via text or request checks from candidates for purchasing equipment.
