Beacon Hill Legal's client, a national insurance company located in Melville, NY is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal for a contract coverage that is expected to last through the beginning of October. Candidates must have experience in personal injury and have experience drafting legal documents (e.g. motions, affidavits, discovery responses, etc.) as well as perform legal research, conduct investigations, obtain, review, analyze, and summarize medical records. The candidate hired must commute to our client's office in Melville, NY on a hybrid schedule 3x a week. Our client is also offering free parking for candidates during the duration of the assignment. Responsibilities Compile and draft legal documents for review and use by attorneys such as routine documents, discovery responses, affidavits/affirmations, and other routine legal documents. Assist attorneys in preparation of witnesses for deposition and trial Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence. Conduct routine investigations including interviews as needed and directed. * Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation. * Use resources to identify and select subject matter experts and provides instruction on areas to address. * Prepare and publish legal holds. * Prepare case summaries and/or case analysis reports. * Coordinates with Document Management to obtain underwriting files and certified polices. Qualifications Familiarity with New York, Personal Injury Protection (PIP), no-fault, law is preferred. Interested candidates can email a Word version of their resume for consideration.
