ShareWe've been growing high-quality produce for almost 40 years and are looking for dedicated farmworkers to join our team! Position: Farmworker Location: Two Dog Farm, Davenport, CA, and Waddell Creek property Type: Full-time/Part-time (seasonal positions available) About Us: - Two Dog Farm is a family-owned organic farm with a rich history and commitment to sustainable farming practices. Nestled near the picturesque coastal town of Davenport, we produce a diverse range of organic vegetables, fruits, and herbs, with a specialty in dry-farmed tomatoes. We also have three farmer's markets a week in San Francisco. Potential Job Responsibilities: - Long hours of hoeing and hand weeding - Assisting in the vineyard - Harvesting produce for farmer's markets - Disassembling/assembling and moving heavy irrigation pipes - Setting up gopher traps (experience is a plus) - Operating and maintaining farm equipment - Packing and preparing produce for market - General farm maintenance Qualifications: - Previous farm work is not required but a big plus - MUST have a reliable vehicle and/or provide own transportation to and from the farm - Basic understanding of English and ability to understand and follow directions - Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labor - Ability to work in various weather conditions - Passion for organic and sustainable agriculture - Must be friendly and willing to integrate into a tight group of family and friends What We Offer: - Competitive hourly wage - On-the-job training - Friendly and supportive work environment - Opportunity to learn about organic farming practices - Potential for long-term employment Work Schedule and other requirements: - Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm with a half-hour paid lunch break - Must bring your own water and food - Boots/protective footwear required (some days will be muddy) Additional Information: - Two-week probationary period - If you have farmer's market experience and are interested in helping at markets, we can take that into consideration as well If you are interested in joining our team and contributing to our mission of providing high-quality organic produce, please contact us!
