Job description: Apply at: https://www.kss4jobs.com/Nevada_Job_Listings.aspx Job Title: Floor Resurface Prep Technician (MUST HAVE Valid OSHA 10 or 30) Location: Sparks, NV 89431 Job Type: 30-40 hours (6:30am – 4:00pm) Mondays-Fridays Compensation: $20 per hour Key Responsibilities: Inspect flooring surfaces to determine preparation requirements. Remove old finishes, coatings, grindings, adhesives, or contaminants using sanding machines, scrapers, or chemical strippers. Clean floors thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, and debris before resurfacing. Repair minor damages such as cracks, holes, or gouges using appropriate fillers or patching materials. Operate and maintain floor preparation equipment safely and efficiently. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE), may require to wear steel-toed boots, hard hat, and gloves. Ensure work area is clean and organized upon completion. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment and materials as needed. Qualifications: Previous experience in floor preparation or related construction/maintenance work preferred. Grinding surfaces and experience with floor epoxy. Familiarity with floor sanding machines, scrapers, and chemical strippers a plus. Ability to work on hands and knees for extended periods. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy equipment. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Valid OSHA 10 or 30. Working Conditions: Work performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes in dusty or noisy environments.
