The Opportunity: Entry-Level Ground Support This foundational role is your entry point into the tree care industry. As an Entry-Level Ground Support team member, you will be integral to the daily success and safety of our tree crews. You will work directly alongside experienced experienced tree Grounds/Rigging specialists and skilled tree climbers, learning essential ground operations and safety procedures through our structured, on-the-job training program. Primary Responsibilities: - Assist with job site setup, hazard recognition, and establishing safe work zones. - Provide critical ground support to climbers, including rope management and tool handling. - Learn to safely operate and maintain essential industry equipment such as wood chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws under expert guidance. - Assist with rigging operations as directed by the crew leader. - Ensure meticulous cleanup of job sites, leaving client properties pristine. - Rigorously adhere to all company and industry safety standards (OSHA, ANSI Z133) and properly utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on tools and equipment. - Actively participate in daily safety briefings, tailgate talks, and ongoing skills training sessions. - Help perform vehicle and equipment inspections/daily checks Candidate Profile: Essential Attributes (Required): - A strong, inherent work ethic combined with unwavering reliability and punctuality. - Full-time availability and commitment. - The physical capability to perform demanding tasks consistently throughout the workday, in diverse weather conditions (includes lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs repeatedly, bending, pulling brush, extensive walking/standing). - An absolute commitment to safety – for yourself, your crew, and the public. - Excellent listening skills, the ability to follow complex instructions accurately, and ask clarifying questions. - A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong verbal communication skills. - Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and develop new skills within the trade. - Valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation to our main yard in Redmond, WA. - Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. - Minimum age of 18 years.
