Design Techniques, Inc. is seeking a dependable Sign Installer to join our team. The installer will travel to job sites to install a variety of signage we manufacture. Working closely with an Install Manager, you will plan and execute each project according to contracted services and sign types. This position requires excellent time management, strong communication, and problem-solving skills. Work is performed at ground level and at various heights while ensuring compliance with company and federal safety policies. Travel throughout Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Key Responsibilities - Install signage made of wood, aluminum, and steel on poles ranging from 3’ to 50’ in height. - Prepare and pour footings for sign installation, including augering, digging, and working with cement, sand, or Sakrete. - Perform sign maintenance and service: cleaning, painting, vinyl application, wood/aluminum cutting, and re-installs. - Load, secure, and transport materials, supplies, and tools to job sites using a company truck and trailer. - Complete installation and service work according to work order specifications and within allotted timeframes. - Accurately fill out work orders, service orders, and time cards, including travel time and materials used. - Maintain assigned truck and trailer—keeping them clean, organized, and well-stocked—and perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance. - Follow all safety practices, billboard procedures, and applicable laws for digging and job site operations. - Return excess materials to the warehouse after each project. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL. - Willingness to travel overnight as needed. - Comfortable working at various heights and in outdoor conditions. - Strong multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills. Due to the nature of the proposed employment, the employee may work on different schedules on different days of the week as assigned by a supervisor and may also be required to work additional hours beyond scheduled time Physical Requirements/Working Environment: The candidate must maintain the necessary physical fitness to ensure accomplishment of assigned missions. This includes guard duties under local types of weather and terrain. The candidate must meet all physical and medical requirements as dictated by the U.S. Government client's contract.
