OXARC has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as, medical and specialty gases since 1968. OXARC is headquartered in Spokane, Washington with 22 stores in WA, ID and OR. Job Summary: Fill cylinders with various gases—stargon, argon, oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. Back-up route sales driver. This position requires a Class B CDL driver’s license with a Hazmat endorsement. Duties include: • Maintain pumps, vacuum and liquid. • Accurate and timely completion of paperwork per FDA requirements. • Check cylinders for dates and damage. • Be available to perform route sales and deliveries when the regular route sales driver is unavailable. • Put away empty cylinders from the dock. • Support Outside Sales personnel. • Night and weekend on-call as necessary. • Keep outside storage area and lots clean and safe. Requirements include: • 2 years customer service/sales experience • Good driving record with Class B CDL driver’s license with a Hazmat endorsement. • Understanding of welding terminology and equipment a plus. • Industry experience such as handling cylinders and/or previous knowledge of gases, filling procedures, paperwork and plant operations. • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision. • Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience, training skills for in person, verbal and written training objectives. • Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills. • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use. • Must pass DOT drug screen, physical and background check.
