Maintenance/Mechanic Employment Type: Full time position Description: San Diego Powder and Protective Coatings is a fast paced, family-owned business with 75+ employees for over 25 years, that’s serving a variety of products from civilian and military customers. - Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 600 am -230 pm, + Overtime, with occasional Saturdays (40-50+ hours a week) - Compensation depends on experience for around $21-25 an hour. Responsibilities and Duties: The Maintenance/Mechanic position has the responsibility assisting SDPPC in a variety of functions. Including but not limited to: • Having general knowledge covering a wide range of tasks. • Automotive maintenance and mechanic knowledge. • Electrical, single and three phase components. • Shop welding. • Familiarity of standard shop hand, power and pneumatic tools. • Forklift driving and maintenance experience. • Knowledge on small motors. • Ability to take apart and reassemble. • Basic Carpentry. • Basic HVAC. • Basic Plumbing. • Basic computer skills. • Cleaning and maintaining of spray equipment. • General Housekeeping as required • Overtime and Saturdays are expected as workload dictates. Skills and Qualifications: • Proven ability to understand instructions and properly build parts according to specifications. • Prove strong work ethic and consistent on time attendance. • Proven ability to recommend process improvements. • Demonstrate ability to maintain organization and safety. • Proven ability to consistently meet production schedules. • Sand blast knowledge and experience is a plus.
