Carbon Costume specializes in creating DIY guides to help people make their own costumes for cosplay and Halloween. Visit our site (https://carboncostume.com) to get a sense of content we create. We're looking for a writer to produce fun, well-written costume guides, and on occasion an interview or feature article. Responsibilities include all aspects of creating guides, from finding the right items through online retail, writing descriptions, and making collage graphics to be used in the guides. Applicants should: * Be comfortable with Photoshop or equivalent graphics editor * Be able to write engagingly with wit * Have research skills for online shopping * Be passionate about pop culture * Experience with WordPress or other blog/CMS software is a plus This is paid part-time work. Basic Description: Our Art Department is seeking a creative, dedicated, and organized team member to help us create engaging and creative studio photos, video, and graphic content to promote Accessory Power products and brands. The ideal candidate must have a good attitude, the ability to collaborate positively, and a desire to be recognized and to recognize others for doing excellent work. Responsibilities also include photo retouching, video production, and creation of static and motion graphics for packaging, print, web and social media platforms. Job Responsibilities: Photograph products in our in-house studio including arranging props and preparing backdrops to create the appropriate scene and digitally retouch those images captured. Shoot and edit video, motion graphics, or other multimedia projects to promote our products and brands. Engage with local talent casting resources to source, audition, and hire actors, models, and voice-over talent. Catalog/organize media files and coordinate the exchange of those files with inside and outside team members.
