We are looking for regular in-home respite care, recreation, and supervision for our very cool 24-year-old high-support autistic son. He does best with three- or four-hour shifts. Hours are flexible within the timeframe of Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Fri before 3 PM. Pay is $32/hour. Responsibilities including supporting our son with: -Local hiking and neighborhood walks -Watching videos on the home television and iPad -Going to movies -Spending time outdoors in the backyard in his swing or hammock -Art projects -Outings to local restaurants, parks, science centers, and museums -Riding local buses, trains, and shuttles -Assistance with daily duties, e.g. directing personal care -Light meal and and snack preparation -Accompanying client to organized community activities, e.g. participation in sports -In warmer months, swimming with client in backyard pool appreciated but not required -Other agreed upon social activities and duties Our son does not need toileting assistance or help getting dressed.
