JOB TITLE: Yard Service Operator DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily Patrol: Conduct daily patrols of the service yard area to ensure the safety and security of the premises. Collaboration with Security: Work closely with the security team to enforce rules and regulations within the service yard area. Parking Enforcement: Enforce parking rules to maintain order and accessibility within the service yard. Staged Items Enforcement: Ensure compliance with regulations regarding staged items, including their proper placement and organization. Forklift Operations: Utilize forklift equipment to move stored items as necessary, particularly to facilitate chemical truck delivery access. Collaboration with client’s delivery service to send staged items to storage as required, ensuring efficient organization and utilization of space. Scrap Management: Request the disposal of scrap items as needed, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency within the service yard. Item Labeling: Work with client’s delivery service counterparts to ensure all items are appropriately labeled for easy identification and tracking. Create tickets for materials to be moved or properly processed. Other duties as assigned by client management. Requirements 3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, materials management, warehousing, or a similar industry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, a hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators. Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.
