Description

We are seeking a hands-on, driven and experienced senior accountant with a track record of results in handling all the facets of accounting, month end close and financial reporting activities. The candidate must be committed to excellence with high standards. The candidate should possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The candidate should be collaborative across functions and communicate effectively within the organization. (This position is not eligible for sponsorship). Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), Employee reimbursements, Payroll, Fixed Assets, General Ledger (G/L), Banking, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.  Support Controller with tax and audit issues.  Manage the business invoicing process.  Manage month-end accounting process, ensuring conformance with standard GAAP accounting, and publish timely monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).  Prepare financial reports for compliance with debt agreements and investor / lender reporting.  Contribute to the analysis of financial results, and the development of financial forecasts.  Ensure tax compliance, along with necessary registrations with various state and local agencies. Contribute to improvements of NetSuite to integrate accounting and reporting of business transactions. Requirements Requirements:  5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in managing month end close and reporting, preferably with biotech, life sciences industry experience.  Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.  Experience with NetSuite. Experience working in start-ups is a plus.  Stellar organizational skills given the demand to wear numerous hats and competing priorities. Experience working at a life sciences tools or diagnostics instrumentation company preferred.
