Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting duties, including maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate with team members and departments. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare journal entries and post them to the general ledger. Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Monitor and analyze financial transactions and resolve discrepancies. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy. Reconcile and pay warranty accounts. Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily or monthly bank reconciliations to verify account balances. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between the company's books and bank records. Month End Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts. Reconcile credit card statements. Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). 5+ years of experience in accounting or a related field (preferred). Strong knowledge of accounting principles.  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including maintaining and reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Supports government and financial audits. Contributes to and ensures the accuracy of accounting data, transactions and reports. Maintains an awareness of the financial activities within the assigned areas of responsibility to ensure smooth operations and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Maintains the strict confidentiality to all information. Ensures accounting files and records are accurate. Performs other duties as assigned or required.   Requirements Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline and three or more years of progressive experience in accounting with a bachelor's degree (May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.) Experience working in Accounts Payable is strongly preferred. Month-end close and Audit support experience is strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to apply concepts and principles of accounting to develop solutions to a variety or problems and applications pertinent to the field. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities that enable effective interface with different company functions. Must be customer service focused. Able to work extended hours as required.
