The SOC Supervisor ensures the security and integrity of broadband services, protecting sensitive data while supporting the educational mission of K-12 schools across New Mexico. Collaborates closely with the SEN NOC Supervisor to coordinate efforts between network operations and security. This includes joint development of processes, communication protocols, and strategies to maintain seamless service delivery while upholding cybersecurity standards. The role also involves frequent coordination with the PSL ISOC Department Manager to align with broader institutional security policies and frameworks, ensuring compliance with FERPA and other applicable regulations. Responsible for the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures, conducting regular risk assessments, and delivering actionable insights to enhance the network’s security posture. The role requires proactive identification of vulnerabilities, mitigation of potential threats, and continuous improvement of the SOC’s capabilities. In addition to technical and operational duties, the Supervisor plays a key role in fostering collaboration and trust among stakeholders, including educational institutions, state agencies, and PSL leadership.
