Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Own delivery of entire piece of system or application, and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards. Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Qualifications: MS or BS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupations of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related. Required technical skills: Coding proficiency in Python, and front-end development experience with Javascript/React. Proficiency development with services such as AWS Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, AppSync, Bedrock, SageMaker, and CloudWatch. Proficiency in developing and integrating with REST-based or GraphQL-based APIs. Proficiency in developing infrastructure-as-code deployment solutions such as AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK . Experience collaborating with other developers using git repositories, including creating and managing feature branches, pull requests, code merge, and GitHib actions or equivalent. Preferred skills: Experience with Contact Center development and telephony infrastructure. Experience with prompt engineering for modern large language models. Experience using modern AI-based agentic coding assistants for code development, test development, and documentation. Track record of building successful serverless architectures following AWS Well Architected principles. New Logic manufactures and sells industrial filtration equipment that uses polymeric membranes to provide specific separations. Mostly, this involves filtering water or wastewater for industrial use. The filtration systems are fully automated and are controlled by a programmable Logic Controller (PLC). These systems run autonomously and are monitored by an operator. The systems include pumps, pneumatic valves, instrumentation, and speed controllers for all the motors. Interested customers will send a small sample amount of liquid for testing at New Logic’s research lab. If the initial feasibility is verified, testing is normally continued on a larger scale at the customer’s facility. After pilot testing, the customer may place an order for a large system that would go into fabrication. We have an opening for an automation and controls person who can create, edit, and test Allen Bradley and/or Siemens control software. The work would include dialogue with the customer and probable integration with their existing plant controls. We currently use Auto-Cad, Inventor, Graphite, Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other software programs. During final wet testing of the system, the automation program is loaded and then thoroughly tested to make sure all the sub-routines are functioning correctly. The work may involve some travel for commissioning. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. We need two experienced technicians in or around the Lansing Michigan area to cover the state of Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northern Ohio to install and service digital displays and digital wallboards, which include upgrading existing equipment. The technician must have basic network configuration experience. This is inside clean work during normal business hours. The technician must be professional in appearance and have their own vehicle, tools and insurance as this is a 1099 contractor position and will be working from their home. This is a unique opportunity for someone that wants to make very good money and does not mind driving as we cover a lot of areas but are home every night. We pay every two weeks. Most all the equipment is shipped to the site for installation or service, so a vehicle with good gas mileage is a plus. Our part-time technicians make $1500.00 to $2500.00 + every two weeks and our full-time technicians make $3000.00 to $5000.00 + every two weeks.
