Mindful Mushrooms is hiring for a farmer’s market representative. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is interested in being the public face of our business and educating the community about the world of mushrooms! We are looking for someone who is available to work Woodstock Market on Sundays for the month of October and be available to work as a back up rep for Saturdays and Sundays for winter markets. Ideally, we are hoping to find someone who can also continue working as a rep in the spring and summer months too. This job includes: -Driving to the farm (located in Oregon City) -Loading vehicle with supplies and products -Driving to the farmer’s market and setting up the booth- keeping it well stocked and visually pleasing/ organized -Conducting sales via cash, electronic payments, and market tokens -Basic addition and subtraction -Communicating effectively and enthusiastically with customers -Staying time conscious and moving through the customer line efficiently -Educating the public on the medicinal characteristics and gourmet uses of the products -Effectively communicating with supervisor regarding inventory, sales, questions, and needs. -Breaking down market booth -Loading vehicle back with market supplies -Driving back to the farm end of day to unload supples Requirements: -Weekend availability -Smartphone compatible with square -Vehicle large enough to accommodate all market supplies -Ability to lift 40 lbs -Experience with customer service *We are an LGBTQ owned farm, so you must be ok with that.
