osition Summary: The Food Service Order Desk Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer food orders. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management to ensure timely and precise order fulfillment. The clerk acts as the primary contact for customers regarding order inquiries and issues. Key Responsibilities: Process Orders: Receive and process food orders from customers via phone and email. Verify all order information for accuracy and -completeness. Customer Service: Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability, pricing, and shipping details. ----Provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Order Fulfillment Coordination: Work with the warehouse, inventory, and shipping departments to ensure that orders are picked, packed, and delivered on schedule. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels for assigned supplies and alert management to potential shortages. Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all customer interactions, orders, and related documentation. Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to orders, such as delays, missing items, or discrepancies. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. One or more years of experience in an order processing, customer service, or food service role. Proficiency with order management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or database management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a food service, logistics, or warehouse environment. Knowledge of basic accounting principles related to order processing. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. Occasional lifting and carrying of stock or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
