You’ll support the General Manager in overseeing gym operations, ensuring a Judgement Free experience for members and a productive, positive environment for staff. This position includes leadership responsibilities, customer service, and day-to-day operations management. Key Responsibilities - Team Leadership & Operations - Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team - Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all members and guests - Schedule staff and ensure full shift coverage - Lead by example and provide coaching and accountability - Handle team issues and collaborate with GM/Area Manager on disciplinary actions Member Experience & Front Desk Support - Assist members in a friendly, helpful manner - Answer phones, check in members, and sign up new memberships - Provide tours for prospective members - Address and resolve member requests, concerns, and questions Facility Oversight - Ensure timely opening and closing of the club - Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance - Monitor safety of staff, members, and club equipment - Report equipment repairs as needed Administrative Support - Train team on current promotions and ensure marketing efforts are followed - Submit HR documentation - Track and report weekly, monthly, and annual statistics - Provide backup coverage for any absent team member Qualifications - Customer service experience preferred - Must be 18 years of age or older - Basic computer proficiency - Positive, enthusiastic attitude - Punctual and dependable - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to demonstrate professionalism and empathy - High school diploma or GED preferred - Ability to work overnight/3rd shift Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods -Frequent speaking on the phone and in person - Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs - Movement including bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching - Handling of cleaning materials/chemicals Why Join Planet Fitness?
