Please include current employment on your resume. $17 an hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform major cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 20 lb. vacuum daily for 3-4 hours), wet-mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying the trash (lifting waste paper and debris - minimum of 55 lbs.), dusting, cleaning whiteboards, and disinfecting drinking fountains. Clean restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: urinals, toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and counters). Ensure restrooms are clean and disinfected. Perform ongoing tasks such as replacing light bulbs (climb ladders up to a height of 16 feet), filling dispensers, and setting up facilities for student and adult-use (lifting furniture, boxes, and cafeteria tables-minimum of 55 lbs.). Must be able to go up and downstairs and undertake bending and standing as needed in a daily shift. Promptly report major repairs as needed to the Head Custodian. Painting, repair work, set up and break down for events. Assist our school security staff with coverage, arrival, and dismissal procedures. Maintain the appearance of hallways throughout the building by washing and buffing floors. Basic computer literacy. Able to send/receive emails and use ticket system for work orders. Requirements High School diploma or G.E.D. Essential functions Must be able to drive to multiple locations as part of job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with Independent Contractors (IC) by communicating client priorities and collaborating on solving problems. Review the scope of work and ensure quality assurance per account to retain existing business and gain new business. Communicate with the Facility Services Manager daily for any issues that need immediate attention, including the nightly recap via email or phone message. Make recommendations for IC work assignments, manage to client standards and company guidelines, and discharge if not meeting the service level agreement. Manage inspections, customer complaints, customer requests, new client starts, or VIP treatment needing attention. Execute City Wide’s New-Start Policy, Customer Complaint Policy, Four Star Policy, and other operational policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with client policies & procedures, approved cleaning tools and equipment and their proper use. Other duties as necessary. Schedule: Monday- Friday 5 pm to 2am Pay Rate: $23- $25 an hour Requirements High school diploma required or equivalent experience in the commercial janitorial services industry. 3 years of prior experience in management, coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team in multi-unit or multiple locations. Building, facilities, janitorial, or similar industry experience a plus! Strong planning, organization skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be innovative and strive for continuous process improvement. CRM experience preferred. Must be Bilingual english and spanish Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of the requirements that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
