Sales Associate (Poway)

Are you looking for employment in a friendly neighborhood setting? POSTAL ANNEX, located at the Target Shopping Center (Twin Peaks Rd/Pomerado Rd) is looking for a sales associate to assist customers in their mailing and office support needs. Store hours are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday. Closed on Sunday. In addition to hours during the week, some Saturday availability maybe required. SUMMARY: Provide customers with efficient and effective service to exceed expectations while promoting products and services to meet their needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Greet customers in a friendly manner • Be knowledgeable of products and services offered and promote them to customers. • Identify customer needs and offer services which could benefit them. • Assist customers in their shipping/mailing needs offering service options: (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL) • Properly pack contents for shipping • Assist customers in their office service needs such as faxing/scanning/printing/binding • Take passport photos for customers requiring this service • Perform fingerprinting services for electronic and ink card submissions • Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in Point of Sale (POS)system. • Assist in merchandising the store, including: stocking shelves with product, ensuring clean and orderly appearance of product, informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies. • Perform end of day duties: reconciliation of cash, checks, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately • General housekeeping duties. • Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Customer service and sales experience in a retail environment is desirable Possess basic computer knowledge and experience (ie. Use of MS Word is helpful) Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift 40 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
