Description

We are a profitable, well-established regional CPA firm seeking a Tax Senior to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities: Review and approve complex tax returns and assist in government tax examinations. Manage and delegate tax preparation responsibilities, especially for larger and more complex business returns. Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal staff. Ensure all client work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within budget. Actively participate in client meetings and tax planning initiatives. Serve as a resource for tax and A&A staff on specific technical tax matters. Maintain responsibility for assigned client relationships and service delivery. Represent clients before appropriate taxing authorities when necessary. Oversee the timely and accurate flow of tax returns through the preparation process. Contribute to firm development activities, including involvement with community and industry organizations. Supervisory Responsibilities: Train, mentor, and develop junior staff including Supervising Seniors, Seniors, Semi-Seniors, and Staff Accountants. Participate in staff evaluations and tax department reviews. Assist in identifying training needs and delivering technical instruction to team members. Requirements Required Qualifications: 3–7 years of current public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity and scope. Experience with international tax consulting and compliance. Familiarity with U.S. domestic and international tax compliance for high-net-worth individuals, pass-through entities, and corporations. Knowledge of international tax topics including Subpart F, GILTI, PFIC, foreign tax credits, and income tax treaties. At least 1 year of experience supervising and directing tax staff. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred). Fluent in Japanese Preferred Qualifications: CPA license (or progress toward CPA certification). Strong client service orientation and ability to manage multiple engagements. Solid understanding of technical tax issues and planning strategies.
