Hello Friends, Nick here, looking for other non-dual resonators who want to rock out a bit. I love all kinds of music but I think the songs I've written thus far have a blend of my favorites: Bob Marley, Animal Collective, The Clash, Radiohead, etc. I like to think the songs have a catchy melody and rhythm that is not afraid of being simple/pop in structure, nor of getting a bit "diabolical" in a Cobain/Strummer/Yorke kinda way. As you may have surmised already, I do love reggae and use a lot of its verbiage, but that is mainly in pointing to the One that dwells within us all, and not so much the more political/earthly nature of the Rasta path. I'm more of an Advaita/Hindu Rasta for sure. This divinity within is the "secret" of life imo, and sharing that artistically seems to be the consistent inspiration for the songs I've written. Despite the music and philosophical influence of reggae, I'd say the songs fall most generally under the Alt-Rock umbrella. Perhaps something like if the grunge guys were Rastas :). It's definitely "groove" rock and love doing interesting things rhythmically that still has a groove to hold on to. Try to keep the melodies soulful and true, and my vocal expression ranges I think but there's def that passion you get from punk and grunge folks mentioned above. Anyway, you can check out some rough demos and sketches I have below. Only a few have more full instrumentation, many just having drum or guitar and bass. So, there's still a lot of room for input, especially, as I'm open to changing all of the songs in ways that make them "better" aka what they're supposed to be. So, ya, definitely looking for a collaborative band type thing. Currently in LA, but willing to move for the right people that are looking for a "all in" kind of situation. https://on.soundcloud.com/dpyJTqnz9j3DB0QUp8
