Lots of peace and quiet, no street lights, gorgeous night sky, lots of birdsong. Offered in exchange for 8 hours a week plus maintaining areas around the cabin and parking area. 10 miles past Paia. No pets, no tobacco. Opportunity to raise chickens, goats, ducks, etc. We seek someone with carpentry and roofing skills to add a porch onto the back of the cabin. We are currently replacing the floor, then will to paint the interior. There is a separate shower, laundry and toilet, so an option is to camp while fixing up the cabin. Respectful positive can-do attitude and excellent communication skills required. Useful handy skills include carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electrical etc. Labor such as digging out cane grass, digging holes, tree pruning/climbing, and chain sawing can be part of the exchange. Includes wi-fi, laundry. If occasionally unable to do work exchange due to illness etc, can pay $300 for a week instead, but not ongoing. We prefer work in exchange for the cabin.
