Position Overview: Lead pharmaceutical operations at a Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility, ensuring accurate dispensing of medications and supplies to veterans. Assess prescriptions and ensure proper match with medication at checking stations. Pre-verify medications loaded into automated dispensing systems. Fill and verify orders for controlled substances. Perform Quality Assurance and oversee contracted Pharmacy Technicians. Follow all VA and CMOP documentation protocols and reporting standards. Identify and report unusual doses, incorrect drugs/strengths, or drug mix-ups. Comply with all precautions related to hazardous materials and waste handling.
