Extra Steps Pediatric Therapies, a subsidiary of Minute Man Arc, is looking for a part time Fee- for-Service occupational therapist to join our growing team! We provide developmentally appropriate, multidisciplinary services for children ages 3-22. We are currently located at 2 Mill & Main, Bldg#2; Suite 370, Maynard, MA. Our therapists provide center based diagnostic and treatment services both 1:1 and in groups. This is a Fee-for-Service position with flexible days and hours Monday-Friday from 3:00-7:00 pm. Perfect for a school-based therapist looking to pick up extra hours, parents wanting to re-enter the work force or anyone else looking for a flexible work schedule. We offer the opportunity to be creative and provide a supportive and enjoyable work environment. Primary Responsibilities: Direct services to clients planning, implementing and administering therapeutic programs to restore and enhance performance in individuals with developmental delays and other diagnoses. Observes and records individuals progress, attitudes and behavior and maintains this information in electronic records management software, Fusion. Communicates and collaborates with other health care professionals and the family involved with the care of the individual. Evaluates and instructs children and families in home programs, activities of daily living, and the care and use of adaptive/therapeutic equipment. Implements treatment plans to help children function to their highest potential. Demonstrates therapy techniques such as sensory processing, sensory/emotional regulation, handwriting, fine/gross motor, reflex integration, etc. Specific Job Requirements: Strong child development and therapeutic relationship skills. Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards children and families. Implement the goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the program. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information. Document and bill appropriately and timely. Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team. Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately. Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance and timeliness. Clean up after sessions and keep work space and equipment clean and tidy.
