Our office is growing! We have an opening for an additional *FULL-TIME* position. Assistant: You will do patient workups before the patient is seen by the doctor (we will train you). We may also cross-train you to do front desk work. Applicant has to love kids, be friendly, be responsible, on time, & computer literate. Ability to speak English & at least basic medical Spanish is a NECESSITY, or at least be good enough with a translation app to communicate with non-English-speaking patients. You will help out around our Pediatric Ophthalmology (Kids Eye Doctor) office and Optical! **We will train you.** Pay is $17/hour for the right candidate. For a motivated employee, potential for significant career advancement over time. This is a positive work environment. Successful candidate must be consistent, friendly, and proactive about going above and beyond/out of the way to help. You must enjoy working with parents and kids (many special needs). English & Spanish Speaking (or willing and able to use a translation app) Computer literate. Need 3 references: Names, relationship (must be work-related, and at least 2 of your three references must not be related to you), and phone numbers. Must be OK with having a background check and drug testing.

Dental Back Office Duties Focus: Clinical support, patient care, and treatment preparation. 1. Patient Preparation & Assistance Escort patients to treatment rooms and make them comfortable. Review medical history, allergies, and patient concerns. Prepare patients for procedures by setting up instruments and supplies. 2. Chairside Assisting Assist dentist during examinations and procedures (passing instruments, suctioning, retracting, etc.). Anticipate dentist’s needs to ensure efficient treatment. Mix and prepare dental materials (impressions, cements, composites). 3. Infection Control & Sterilization Follow OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and disinfection. Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients. Maintain sterilization logs and infection control compliance. 4. Radiography & Records Take and develop dental X-rays (digital or film) as prescribed. Upload and organize images into patient records. Document treatment notes accurately in patient charts. 5. Lab & Equipment Maintenance Pour and trim models, fabricate temporary crowns, and other lab tasks as needed. Monitor and maintain dental equipment functionality. Report and arrange repairs when needed. 6. Patient Education & Post-Op Care Provide oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions. Ensure patients understand aftercare and next appointment needs.
