Now seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time position at the Naval Medical Center (NMC) at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties for the LCSW include but are not limited to the following:  • Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services. • Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team. • Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds. • Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology. • Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals. • Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification. • Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment. • Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the facility. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8.5 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch No Weekends, No Holidays  Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Education:  Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW). Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Experience: Must have at least one year of post-grad experience in the last three years as a social worker License:  Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from any state.  -- Please identify state of licensure. Life Support Certification: Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.  Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance. We have a new opening for a Registered Nurse - General Surgery at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. Job Specific Duties may include the following, dependent upon department: • Provide preoperative and postoperative counseling and education, and coordinate scheduling and planning for operative cases. • Recover endoscopy patients when PACU staff are short staffed after receiving ACLS and PALS. • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the facility. • Perform physical exam and health histories. • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. • Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. • Clinically direct and observe the care provided by other healthcare professionals. • Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations. • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. • Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate. • Perform nursing services identified in the TO. • Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes. • Obtain and maintain credentials to perform conscious sedation as needed.   Work Schedule: Work schedule shall be 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday to include a one-hour uncompensated meal break. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Education: BSN Degree Experience: Minimum one year experience in a surgery clinic, step-down unit, intensive care unit, or post-anesthesia care unit within the past 5 years. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any state.
