Description

Job description: Do you love food? Particularily cooking from scratch, designing custom recipes and menus, and presenting your creations to others to enjoy? Do you also consider yourself to be a very tidy and efficient cleaner and housekeeper? And even also enjoy assisting in the care of children? If so, this position would be a great fit for you! It's a three-in-one with opportunity to engage in all of these activities under one roof for one family. We are ideally seeking a full-time LIVE-IN Cook-Housekeeper-Nanny who would travel with us to our other residence (in Las Vegas) for several long-term stays per year and also potentially on trips elsewhere. However, we would consider applicants who live locally and prefer to live-out while we are in Appleton but would still travel with us and live-in during those times we go elsewhere (2-4 months at a time). Duties would involve assisting in our full range of household needs including cooking, cleaning, childcare, as well as errands and other odd jobs. Cooking and overall food management would be the primary responsibility and take the most time, followed by house cleaning and laundry as secondary, and then childcare assistance when our primary caregiver is on break or away. We are ideally looking for someone who can be a Housekeeper-General, who has the capacity for keeping the entire household running efficiently, be in charge of others, and can contribute to any work area as needed. This requires a high degree of adaptability, initiative, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. The family consists of a husband, wife, one child, and our other live-in caregiver. If you do the position as live-in, the arrangement would be your own private bedroom, shared bathroom, internet access, organic meals daily, and shared vehicle. Candidate must be completely free to travel with the family at any time on short notice for any length of time, whether domestic or abroad. Candidate must be willing to modify their personal products and foods as needed to be nontoxic and nonallergenic to the home environment. Candidate must also be willing to curtail their use of emitting devices (smart phones, smart watches, etc) as needed especially during the night (if live-in) due to EMF sensitivities in the family. Salary will be determined based on candidate's overall appeal including existing skills, strength of references, and personality compatibility. Any particular minimum salary requirement should be specified upfront. The ideal candidate would have experience or high level of interest in cleaning, tidiness, and overall organization; nutrition and cooking from scratch with organic ingredients using traditional methods; playing with and teaching children particularly those with autism or other neurological distinctions. A skill-set in any one or more of these areas would greatly improve chances of hire. However, this is not essential, and if you are just starting out and simply have a passion for these areas and are very eager to learn, you are encouraged to apply. Personality, character references, and the ability to fit within the family culture (travel flexibility and other specific lifestyle requirements as identified above) will be as much of a consideration. Please submit a cover letter if you wish for serious consideration of your application. Benefits: Paid time off Paid training
