The Varicella vaccine is an immunization designed to protect against varicella zoster virus (VZV), the virus responsible for chickenpox. In clinical trials, investigational varicella vaccines are studied to evaluate their safety, effectiveness, and potential use in broader populations, such as infants under 12 months of age or those with specific medical conditions.
