We are seeking an experienced, hard working CHEF DE PARTIE - This is a full time hourly role, must have experience in Michelin fine dining environments and capable of working all stations in the kitchen. They will be involved with many of the culinary aspects of 7 Adams from an operational standpoint, and collaborate with Chef to execute his vision and creativeness with each plate. They will work with their peers to maintain quality and consistency, as well as efficiency and minimizing food waste. This CDP must demonstrate a calm and composed demeanor while working in a fast paced, open kitchen environment. We're a family owned, award-winning, 19-year old bakery that is looking for reliable dishwashing help. JOB DUTIES: We value the work that our dishwashers do to contribute to the smooth operations of our production cycle. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and english speaking skills are needed. Our dish station is a large three bay setup. The dish washing is done by hand in our Powersoak sink which comes with a a booster heater to maintain hot water and the ability to agitate the water to aid in cleaning dishes. - Wash/rinse/sanitize, and dry baking pans, small wares, plastic transfer bins, and other equipment and return to their proper locations - Help with various cleaning/organizational tasks throughout the day - Help with various food prep tasks such as dicing butter, simple portioning, unwrapping cases of butter, potential simple bagging of products. -Tidy up, sweep, put the trashes out and general clean up at the end of shift. -Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. -This is an independent job. Being able to keep pace with the dishes needing to be cleaned is important so that the bakery staff can continue to keep pace with their production tasks. DAYS/HOURS: Reliability is important. Shift needed: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7am-11:30 am, 4.5 hour shifts, 3 shifts a week on a static schedule. About 13-15 hours a week. Applicants should be able to sub in or switch shifts on occasion. Ideally has the ability to occasionally sub in on our 10 am-6pm dish shift in some capacity. This shift is run solo on slower days of the week. COMPENSATION: All employees are paid a base wage (no less than minimum wage) and an additional bonus per paycheck which varies depending on how busy the bakery is. Slower times of year the extra per hour is a little less and in the busy season (summer and fall) it is higher. This job starts at $15.00/hour for the base wage. The bonus adds an additional $3.50 per hour on a yearly average to each employee's paycheck.
