Loreley Beer Garden, An established, high volume Beer Garden on the Lower East Side is hiring experienced server/bartender to start immediately! We are a friendly, relaxed, FUN [sober] place to work, looking for 2 more experienced people to join our family! We are looking for someone that can take shifts in both positions as a server and shifts as a bartender. This position will include both shifts as a server and shifts as a bartender. You must have the ability to perform at a high level in both positions. About us: A first of it's kind in NYC (Opened in 2003), Outdoor Beer Garden, Beer Hall & Lounge. We are a small, but efficient staff with members lasting between 5-10+ years of our 20 years! New employees can earn shifts quickly with hard work! We are offering approx 35-40 hours to start! We are a great place to work long term or seasonally. We are open to both. Must be available to train immediately and be available for the immediate future (you will be scheduled this week). MUST be available the next two Saturdays!! Requirements: - Experience with Micros or similar POS System - Friendly, positive, outgoing personality! - General knowledge of different beer styles (Lagers, Pilsners, Wheat, Ales, Bocks, IPAs) Server Requirements: - 2+ years high volume serving experience - Ability to carry 3+ plates at one time - Ability to carry serving trays with tall glassware - Ability to carry several large 1 Liter steins at one time! - Must work well with others! We have a pooled tip system and everyone is always helping each other. Bartender Requirements: - 2+ years high volume bartending experience - Very fast and comfortable behind the bar - Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails - Ability to learn new drinks quickly, we rotate ours seasonally! - Knowledge about German beer a BIG PLUS! - Must have the ability to work SOBER Additional: - Specific knowledge of German Cuisine & Beers a PLUS - Fluent in German a PLUS - NYC Food Handlers Certificate a PLUS MUST have full-time, flexible availability.
