Tequila 61 is a vibrant and busy Latin fusion upscale restaurant located in the heart of downtown Anchorage, known for bold flavors, hand crafted cocktails, and a warm rustic atmosphere. We offer more than just a meal, we deliver an experience. As we head into our winter season (open evenings only) we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations while fostering a positive work environment as we continue to grow. Let's make the Anchorage dining scene even better - together! Duties Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage staff training and development to enhance team performance and service quality. Utilize POS systems (Toast) for efficient cash handling and transaction processing. Conduct interviews and hire new staff while providing ongoing coaching and feedback. Implement budgeting strategies to optimize costs while maintaining service standards. Foster a positive dining experience by addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints promptly. Collaborate with kitchen and bar management to ensure timely food & drink production and quality control. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or similar roles within the food service industry. Strong knowledge of food safety standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and financial management within a restaurant setting. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences. Background in fine dining / upscale dining environments is preferred; banquet experience is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels of staff. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
