Mana Foods Cook position (Paia)

Welcome to the HEART of Pa’ia… We are currently seeking an inspired and motivated Cook to join our Mana Foods Ohana! Performance characteristics: • Great communication skills • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers. • Is enthusiastic about the culinary field and takes pride in cooking. • Can maintain a pleasant smile and demeanor throughout the shift. • Can handle multiple tasks at one time. • Is self-motivated, especially under pressure. • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures • Strives to make the work environment better more efficient, safer and cleaner Responsibilities: • Retain knowledge of menu items and kitchen equipment. • Ability to follow directions and instructions. • Maintains department guidelines and procedures. • Maintains cleanliness and Food and Safety standards at all times. • Maintains portion sizes, recipe standards. • Communicates with supervisor on any discrepancies or shortages of labor, products, menu items and tools. • Capable of reading and understanding recipes. • Retain knowledge of measurements. • Regularly checks/monitors all kitchen-prepared items to ensure quality and quantities at all times. Qualifications: • Must be flexible and able to work between 6am-2pm on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. • Standing for long periods, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. • Pre-employment requirements; Passed a TB skin test within 10 years.
