Read below for work requirements. Front Desk Clerk We are seeking an individual who has a natural passion for delivering exceptional service to guests. The successful candidate must be a team player who has a positive attitude and is reliable and task oriented. Responsibilities: -Checks guests in and out of the hotel in an efficient and courteous manner. -Efficiently handles all payments received - balances and verifies all transactions. -Responsible for maintaining all documentation regarding room registration and ensures guest privacy. -Must be able to professionally handle and respond to guest issues and requests and make sound decisions. -Responsible for positively representing and promoting the hotel. -Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guests and employee safety and security. -Must maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. -Must be able to lift 50lbs. Occasionally you will be required to carry a twin mattress to a room. Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked. Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register. Have a thorough understanding of state liquor laws; always ensuring guests are of legal drinking age, and preventing over serving according to the law. Report all accidents and breakages to the F&B Manager or Executive Chef in charge. Adhere to relevant Food Safety Hygiene standards. Remain up to date on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Work in a safe manner and abide by OSHA regulations and the Hotel’s policies in regard to accident and incident reporting procedures. Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service. Maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards. Other duties as assigned.
