SRO Housing Corporation seeking qualified Senior Facilities Manager candidates who are comfortable working in the DTLA Skid Row community. The successful candidates will be highly experienced in Maintenance, workplace safety, and data driven management and leadership. A background in budgeting; internal and external repair evaluations and collaboration with departmental leaders. This includes performing routine and/or preventative maintenance inspections of buildings systems, and equipment to ensure compliance within the limitations imposed by state, county or city ordinances, codes or law material handling equipment systems. The candidate must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as be able to influence, and develop relationships at all organization levels. This position provides technical leadership and mentoring to a Maintenance team of at least of 25 staff. Skills: Comfortable working in the Skid Row Community; customer service; budgeting; staff management; working knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools; fire safety; drywall repair; plumbing and electrical; installation of lighting; hanging doors; flooring repair; painting; assigning work orders and completion follow-up.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Cooks responsibility is to prepare, on a daily basis, meals served at the Episcopal Sanctuary and any ECS facilities and/or partner agencies. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. PARTICIPANT INTERACTION/COMMUNITY BUILDING 1. Prepare, cook and serve meals in accordance with the menu provided by the Facilities Manager. 2. Prepare meals for volunteers to be served after other participants have eaten. 3. Prepare bag lunches for working participants according to written procedure and check with intake office for appropriate numbers. 4. In consultation with the Facilities Manager, vary menu to use donated food where appropriate. 5. Assist the Facilities Manager with preparation of holiday meals and food for special events. 6. Set up dining area and tables for meal service. 7. Clear dining area and tables following meal service. B. ADMINISTRATION 1. Supervise volunteers assigned to kitchen duties. Report any concerns to the Facilities Manager. 2. Complete appropriate paperwork in connection with volunteer assignments. 3. Complete daily task sheets and meat count tallies for the shift. 4. When appropriate, receive and rotate all food deliveries and donations and record on inventory list. Collect food from reception area and deliver it to the kitchen. 5. For weekend cooks: transport all meals between facilities as necessary using designated ECS vehicles as scheduled in a safe manner, utilizing the skills and techniques of defensive driving, obeying all DMV directives and traffic laws. 7. Maintain kitchen and dining areas and equipment and utensils in clean and sanitary condition, including coffee machine, refrigeration and freezer units. 2. CASE MANAGEMENT Interested parties should understand diverse populations, including those involved with multiple barriers to reentry, employment, and self-sufficiency. This is a challenging position for someone with experience with data collection, group facilitation, peer-to-peer mentoring, one-on-one case management, and a strong leader with good social skills. Basic computer skills required include Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word processing software, and an overall understanding of grants budgets. Notify APD, DPOs, and the Participant’s case manager of any issues. o Oversee the work of the Norma Hotel desk clerks, ensuring incident reports are written, tracked, and distributed to APD DPOs, the City’s Program Manager, and the Participant’s case manager. o Work closely with the Norma Hotel Resident Manager ensuring all property management duties such as all plumbing, electrical, structural, heat and appliances work in the rooms and the common areas. Contact RSN’s Executive Director to address repairs immediately. o Ensure Resident Manager and desk clerks keep a log of all incidents that happen during their shifts and review and address all issues, and ensure the Night Watchman/Desk Clerk write incident reports.
