Role Description ESW is seeking a part-time Literacy Tutor in Brooklyn, New York (hybrid). The tutor will work with students of varying ages to strengthen reading, writing, and comprehension skills through individualized sessions. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, tracking progress, and supporting literacy growth in alignment with each learner's needs. Collaboration with educators and support staff is encouraged to provide well-rounded assistance. Qualifications • Experience in children's and adult literacy instruction • Tutoring or teaching experience (formal or informal) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to create individualized lesson plans • Coaching skills and patience working with diverse learners • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required • Bilingual a plus (French / Spanish) • Contract role: $20/hour • Part-time, based on demand • Must be able to commute to our Brooklyn location
