This position checks and repairs Aircraft Heat Exchangers and/or Aircraft Oil Cooler structural parts.  Works under immediate supervision of team lead and/or supervisors Coordinates work with superiors on daily production targets and expectations Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Initial test units Cut up and debur parts Repair units Detail units Prepare units for sand blasting and/or painting Final testing Inspection of units Final detailing (applying alodine, installing tag) Documentation: work, work orders Other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Has 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field preferred but willing to train May be required to be licensed and/or certified in certain areas of specialty Effective communication and comprehension Mechanical inclination Experience in use of basic hand tools (hammer, grinders, sanders), and air tools Must be capable of interpreting complex drawings, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and Engineering Processes (EP) with limited supervision Able to stand or sit for up to eight hours, lift up to 50lb, push, pull, reach, and stoop Demonstrates good mobility Maintain a clean and organized work area Proactive and prepared for upcoming units Cleans and services equipment as needed Assist Team Leader or colleagues with other work Ability to pass pre-hire and ongoing, random drug testing as required as a Department of Transportation (DOT) facility regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Ability to pass pre-hire background check screening Must be able to work second shift typically 3pm to 11:30pm, may vary by department (2nd shift comes with shift differential pay of $1 for bench mechanics and $2 for welding positions) Benefits TAT Technologies is dedicated to providing an inclusive, fun, and unique workplace. The ideal candidate will handle customer transactions efficiently, provide excellent service, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
