SharePosition Summary This position is on-site at 2 Jericho Plaza, Jericho, NY 11753 The Senior Accountant role will work directly with senior leadership to support all aspects of financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls. The ideal candidate must have strong QuickBooks and Excel skills, along with broad accounting experience—particularly involving inventory accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, with a focus on accuracy and compliance Lead inventory accounting processes, including cost tracking, adjustments, and reconciliation Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including A/P, A/R, journal entries, and bank reconciliations Support month-end and year-end closing procedures Maintain accounting records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes Help implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements Prepare financial reports and analysis for management Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and logistics to ensure proper inventory and expense tracking Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reporting as needed Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–6 years of accounting experience across multiple functions (AP/AR, GL, reconciliations, etc.) Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is mandatory Solid understanding of inventory accounting (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment Experience in preparing for audits and maintaining GAAP-compliant records ERP or other accounting software experience is a plus Must have good verbal and written communication skills Benefits Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Professional development opportunities If you're an experienced accountant with a strong command of QuickBooks, Excel, and inventory-related work, we’d love to hear from you.
