Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Duties Maintain accurate financial records through double-entry bookkeeping practices. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection. Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger accounting tasks. Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assist with budgeting and account analysis to support financial planning efforts. Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and relevant regulations in both corporate and non-profit accounting environments. Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop for efficient record-keeping. Provide payroll support as needed, including processing payroll transactions accurately. Conduct account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for correctly. Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a solid understanding of financial concepts. Familiarity with public accounting practices is preferred; experience in governmental accounting is a plus. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks is required. Knowledge of technical accounting principles including debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis is required. Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and financial report writing is highly desirable. Strong 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry are necessary for this role.
