Position Overview: The ideal candidate will prepare approximately 400 individual and small business tax returns during tax season, with additional returns prepared throughout the year and by extension deadlines. Responsibilities include: • Meeting with clients and gathering tax-related information • Preparing and reviewing tax returns (primarily individual, with some trust/business returns) • Assisting with tax return submittals and day-to-day office operations Qualifications: • Active CPA or EA license • Minimum 5 years of tax preparation experience • Strong client service and communication skills • Familiarity with Lacerte software is a plus • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compensation: Commission-based payout commensurate with experience and tax knowledge. Based on the expected 400 tax returns to be prepared during tax season, the commission should be around $65,000 or higher.
