HVAC Preventative Maintenance Helpers on the Camp Lejeune team come from areas of eastern NC including Jacksonville, Richlands, Swansboro and Morehead City. Performing preventive maintenance of various types of commercial HVAC equipment to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly is the primary responsibility of the Preventive Maintenance Helper. Types of equipment include air handlers and VAV systems. You may also assist workers and journeyman by performing general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping them supplied with materials and tools; holding materials and tools; and cleaning working area, machines, or equipment. The ideal EMI HVAC Helper performs any task as instructed while following all health and safety standards. Salary $22.52/ hr. plus $14.75 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k! Key Responsibilities Inspect motors, pulleys and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts. repair or replace parts and reassemble equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned Essential Skills Some knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in heating and cooling equipment and machinery Works effectively in a team. Follows verbal instructions and adheres to policies and procedures. Adaptable and flexible in work situations. Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner. PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment. including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Iosfttek Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Apopka, FL. This is a full-time, on-site position starting at $35/hr. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience in operating and troubleshooting, as well as 2 years of maintenance experience with air compressors and electrical systems (up to 460 V). Requirements High school diploma/GED equivalency. Minimum of 5 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience. Preferred 2 years of maintenance experience, including air compressors and electrical systems. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Ability to recognize defective parts and distinguish machine sounds. Physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, work on elevated surfaces, and work in extreme temperatures and noise levels. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding instructions in English. Willingness to work holidays, facility shutdowns, and various shifts (8-hour, 12-hour, day or night shifts) as needed, including overtime. Responsibilities Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems. Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot facility compressed air systems and ventilation fans. Use computer software to operate facility utility equipment. Restore plant utilities, including up to 460 VAC power distribution systems, after power outages. Use a CMMS program to complete preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and projects. Work with warehouse leaders to improve equipment efficiency. Report to the Regional Maintenance Manager on task completion. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the shop and equipment room. Inspect equipment on the roof and investigate for leaks as scheduled. Assist with repairs and maintenance of the facility building. The Refrigeration Technician role is ideal for individuals with strong time management skills, the ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships, and the capacity to communicate across functional lines at all levels.
