Mitsubishi Delica L400 Space Gear - GAS - Crystal Lite Roof - $9,000

*****Located in Richmond, Virginia but willing to travel for serious interest***** Selling my 1994 Mistubishi Delica L400 Space Gear (Gas) with the Crystal Lite Roof. This has been an absolute dream van that has taken me across and all over the US many times over. Incredibly reliable, comfortable, eye catching... it has so many features for van camping and cross-country travel. Often called the "Swiss army knife" of vans due to the myriad of ways that the seats can be swiveled, moved around, and folded up and down to suit many seating or storage needs. Although, I have mostly left the interior as it was when I imported it, there are endless possibilities for mod-ing this thing for full van life living. I originally imported this from Vancouver, Canada in early 2021 and since then I've been on many trips within the US. Due to its high clearance and interlocked 4WD, I have never needed to worry about making it up steep forest service roads, snow/icy roads, crossing rivers, etc. It is a hard decision to make, putting this on the market. But I am moving over seas and cannot bring it with me. Regular maintenance has been kept up with - Timing belt/kit replaced twice since purchase- once in 2021 and again in 2023, Runs well with no perceivable engine issues to report. It idles well, transmission is good- gears shift when they should, 4-wheel drive works. Tires are in good shape and have about 10,000 mi on them. Rear brakes were replaced at 114,486 mi and front brakes at 89,788 mi Just had a new starter put in this week so it fires right up without any hesitation. Battery was replaced earlier this month. Rear Lite roof shade motors work fine, most of the curtain motors work as well. The front end stereo system was replaced in 2021 with the Focal PS 165 FE Flax Evo Series 6-1/2" component speaker system (still sounds great!) Only major technical drawback is that sometimes finding mechanics can be tricky, depending on the city. Ordering parts can take longer than usual, since most things have to be shipped from Japan, the UK, or Canada. Luckily, I have a mechanic in Richmond that I'll certainly pass along the contact for with the van and as the network of folks who own these grows, more parts distributors have appeared across the US. There is quite an extensive online community for Delicas across the globe and generally, any mechanical issue that may arise can be supported through the online forums. Currently it has 249929 km (155298.7 mi) on the odometer and hundreds of thousands of miles more to go! Upon sale, I can provide full documentation of all the work I have had done on it since purchasing so that you'll know more about its history. I can also include the roof rack bars, a hydraulic vehicle jack + cross bar tire wrench and some various other small accessories as a bonus. Asking $9,000 but am willing to work with a budget if a reasonable offer is made. Ultimately, I'll go with the best offer but I am open to having a conversation about it. Looking to sell by mid-September if not sooner.
